A few Washington State University Students and University of Idaho students have come together on their campuses to combat the one sided ideology they face daily on their campuses. They created a new student paper called the Northwest Alternative. This paper is the new libertarian and conservative voice on campus.
"THE NORTHWEST ALTERNATIVE is the brainchild of a University of Idaho engineering major and a Washington State University political science major; who met through common interest in conservatism and the new right. We believe that conservative thought is the true youth revolution of today; not the failed and boring politics of Baby Boomers and ex-hippies."-A.R., Editor in Chief
The paper is written for students by students with writers from across the state. Check out their blog: The Northwest Alternative, read it and get involved in the discussion. As they're still getting started they can always use more writers. If interested send all submissions to: northwest.alternative@gmail.com

The Student Freedom Project
The Student Freedom Project is the newest project from the Evergreen Freedom Foundation. The project was created to give tools and educational services to college student and young voters. In order to have their voices heard in the local and national government. More often then not the youth are used and manipulated by the political parties for the “betterment of the whole” at the expense of the youth. The national debt is one such example when those in power are mortgaging our futures for the betterment of society.
The Student Freedom Projects aims to free college students from the over powering political parties and give students the ability to have their voices heard. The official mission is as follows.
The Student Freedom Project’s mission is to advance limited and accountable government, individual liberty, and free market enterprise by equipping and informing students on college campuses. Our goal is to enable college students to take an active role in shaping the future they will graduate into.
The Student Freedom Project will be traveling across the state of Washington to bring this mission to college students. Go to our event calendar to see when we will be in a town near you.
As the famous quote goes; “we must be the change we want in the world” That change will only come from the actions of free men and women.
“Emancipate yourselves from mental slavery: none but ourselves can free our minds.” -Bob Marley
